Orange County Land Trust Dedicates Kiosk at Moonbeams Preserve
Kiosk Funded by Grant from Orange and Rockland Utilities
Middletown, NY —
June 1, 2007
Members of the Orange County Land Trust Board of Directors recently held a dedication ceremony with staff members, volunteers and community supporters for a newly built kiosk located at the entrance of Moonbeams Preserve.
Built with funds provided by a grant from Orange and Rockland Utilities through its Community Investment Program, the kiosk will contain trail maps and other educational literature to guide visitors through the preserve. Located in the town of Wallkill, the preserve is home to over 150 acres of fields, forests and wetlands located along the Shawangunk Kill. It is ideal for hiking, birding and photography and is open to the public year round, free of charge.
The Orange County Land Trust is a non profit organization committed to voluntary land conservation and open space planning initiatives. For more information about how you can become involved in the Land Trust and for directions to our preserves, please visit our website at oclt.org.
