Orange County Land Trust Launches Annual Appeal and Calendar Sale
Middletown, NY —
December 7, 2007
The Orange County Land Trust recently kicked-off its 2007 Annual Appeal and 2008 Calendar Sale with a mailing to its many supporters throughout Orange County and the Mid Hudson region.
Each year, the Land Trust seeks support from the community to help fulfill its mission of protecting and preserving the fields, forests, wetlands, ridgelines and river corridors through voluntary land conservation. This year is an especially critical one for the Land Trust, as the protection of open space and working farmland remains a major concern for the region. As in past years, all funds raised go towards the preservation of land in communities throughout the county.
The Orange County Land Trust 2008 Calendar, available for sale on oclt.org, features beautiful images of the local landscape by acclaimed Sugar Loaf photographer Nick Zungoli. Sponsors for this year’s calendar are Taylor Recycling Facility, Real Estate Solutions, Advance Testing, and Jacobowitz & Gubits, LLP.
The Orange County Land Trust is a nonprofit organization that has preserved over 3,000 acres of diverse woodlands, scenic areas and working farms through voluntary land conservation. The Land Trust partners with the County and municipalities in advocating for open space planning and smart growth development practices.
