About 15 volunteers for the Orange County Land Trust recently cleared a 1 ½ mile trail at the Land Trust’s Fuller Mountain Nature Preserve off Bowen Road in Warwick. A gift to the Land Trust from the Roland family, the 225-acre preserve is a biodiverse woodland and wetland habitat and, under Land Trust ownership and stewardship, will remain forever pristine. The trail rambles up a magnificent wooded ravine to fantastic vistas overlooking the Warwick Valley. The preserve is open to the public every day, free of charge, for passive recreation such as hiking, birding, and nature study. Visit the website at www.oclt.org for guided nature hikes in September and October.
